PRACTICE DESCRIPTION Mr. McSwane represents both plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property litigation, and has been involved with numerous intellectual property trials in the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. McSwane has also handled appellate cases in the Courts of Appeal and the Texas Supreme Court. His practice includes experience in personal injury defense with a concentration in the field of health care liability. He has represented doctors, nurses, and hospitals in connection with malpractice and other health care litigation. He has experience in commercial litigation, including oil and gas litigation.

PERSONAL Born in San Angelo, Texas, Mr. McSwane is married to the former Mary “Mo” Mozelle. They have three children, Patrick, Marcie, and Ryan. Patrick currently attends TylerJunior College, Marcie attends Texas A&M University, and Ryan attends Robert E. Lee High School. Mr. McSwane has a busy family life and also participates in golf and church activities. Mr. McSwane and his family are active members of Bethel Bible Church in Tyler.
