Patent-Infringement Lawsuit Dismissed by Judge

United States District Court Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court in Tyler, Texas, summarily dismissed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Nintendo Company, Ltd., Nintendo of America, Inc., and Microsoft Corporation brought by Fenner Investments, Ltd. (No. 6:07-cv-08 (LED)). Fenner had alleged that the Wii™ console and its controllers, as well as the Nintendo GameCube™, infringed on one of its patents (U.S. Patent No. 6,297,751). Judge Davis dismissed the case on Monday, March 16, 2009, and ruled that there was no need for a jury trial. Nintendo was represented by Perkins Coie, LLP, Nixon & Vanderhye, P.C., Yarbrough Wilcox, PLLC, and Potter Minton, P.C. Mike Jones and Allen Gardner led the Potter Minton team. Congratulations to all on a job well-done.
